About Mrs. Dooley...
Education: I received a Bachelor's Degree from the Unversity of New Mexico in Secondary Education with an Endorsement in Mathematics in 1999 and received my teaching license at that time. Currently, I am enrolled in an online course through the University of Maryland where I eventually hope to earn my Master's Degree.
Teaching Experience: I taught mathematics at Rio Grande High School. for 3 years from 1999-2002. In 2002, I began working at Del Norte High School and taught Computer Applications and mathematics courses. This year, I am only teaching mathematics.
Professional Development: This is my second year serving as the co-mathematics teacher leader. In addition, I completed 4 years of training related to implementing the Interactive Mathematics Program (IMP). This is my sixth year teaching IMP 1 and my second teaching Algebra Readiness.
Family: I am married and I have three adult children. I also have one grandson and I am looking forward to more, but I am in no rush.
Entertainment: I love to research -- vacation planning, family history, math activities, or just about anything. Also, I enjoy reading. My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice, followed in a close second by The Code Book and any of the books in the Harry Potter series.
